PHILEMON
Philemon 1-3
I, Paul, am writing this letter to you, Philemon, and to those with you. May God bless you(pl).
IthankGodand rejoice greatly becauseyouhave shown thatyou love God's people.
BecauseI know thatyoulove God's people, I request, rather than command you, todowhatyou ought todoformy spiritual son Onesimus.
Iam sending Onesimus backtoyou. Heisas dear tomeasmy own self, andhewillnowbeeven dearer toyouthanheistome.
Ifyouconsidermetobeyour partner, receive Onesimus asyouwould receive me. I guarantee to repay you whatever Onesimus owes you.
Please encourage meinthis matter asyou encourage other believers in Christ.
Ihave written this letter toyouconfidentofyour compliance withmy request.
Also, keepa guest room ready forme.
Myother fellow workers greet you(sg). Maythe Lord Jesus Christ bless you(pl) spiritually.
