2 THESSALONIANS
2 Thessalonians 1:1-2
We, Paul, Silas, and Timothy, are sending this letter to the congregation of God's people in Thessalonica. We pray that God will continue to bless you with his kindness and inner peace.
WethankGodvery frequently thatyouare trusting intheLordJesus more and more.
Godwill judge allpeople justly. Specifically, hewill publicly declare thatyouare worthy to enter thatplacewherehewill rule hispeople forever.
Weare praying very frequently foryouthatGodwill consider you worthy to receive thattowhichhe summoned you.
Do not quickly get worried and alarmed by any message that the Day of the Lord has already come.
The Lord willcomeonlyafterthattimewhenthemanwhowill sin very greatly will appear.
Thismanwillbe revealed byGodwhenhewhoisnow preventing himfrombeing revealed willhavebeen removed byGod.
Whenthis man is present, hewill completely deceive thosewhowill perish.
God chose youinorderthatyoushouldbe saved and share in Christ's glory.
Continue believing the teaching thatwe gave toyou.
We pray thatour Lord Jesus Christ himself will encourage youand cause youtocontinue doing andspeakingwhatis good.
Pray that more and more people will believe the message about our Lord Jesus.
Our Lord Jesuswill cause youtocontinuetobe steadfast andhewill protect youfromtheevilone.
We command youto disassociate yourselvesfrom every fellow believer who refuses to work.
We command those fellow believers who are not working to support themselvesby settling down and working.
Youothers, donot stop doingwhatis right becauseyouare discouraged.
Publicly identify any fellow believer who does not obey whatwe have written in this letter anddonot associate with him.
I pray thatour Lord Jesus himself willgive peace toyou always andin every situation.
In closing, I pray thatourLordJesuswill continue to bless youall. I, Paul, am greeting youandI am writing thismyselfin order thatyoumay know thatitisIwhohave sent this letter.
